WHO CAN ADVERTISE

The Scarlet and Gold Business Directory is open to all Marines, FMF Corpsmen, their families, and members of Marine Corps Veterans' Organizations who own, operate, manage, or run a business or franchise.

ADVERTISING COSTS

The cost for one business card advertisement (located on either the Internet Business page or on a State/City page) is:  

$25.00 for one year or $15.00 for six months.   

If you want to have the same business card advertisement located on several pages at the same time, you will pay $20.00 for one year or $12.00 for six months for each ad, providing all of the ads are purchased at the same time.  For example, you can advertise the same business card on the Internet Business, State, and City pages all at the same time. 

The cost for a 30 word classified ad (located on the ad page) is: $20.00 for one year or $12.00 for six months. 

Please make all Checks payable to:  Mike Bellard

and mail them to the Post Office Box on the Contact Page.

A portion of the advertisement costs will be donated to the Marines helping Marines Program.  You can find more information about this worthwhile program at http://www.marineshelpingmarines.org   

INCLUDING A BANNER AD ON YOUR SITE

When you add an approved advertisement for the Scarlet and Gold Business Directory on your website (and after the link has been tested), you will receive a $5.00 credit on your next business card advertisement renewal. Additionally, when I confirm that your link is active, you will receive a discount coupon from one of the businesses advertising on this site.
 

The ads can be vertical for the left and right side panels
or horizontal as shown above.  I will assist you with the
design so that the ad works with your website.

REFERRAL PROGRAM

If you are currently advertising in the Scarlet and Gold Business Directory, you can earn discount renewal points when you refer a Marine, FMF Corpsman, family member, or member of a Marine Corps Veterans' Organization to the directory and they purchase an advertisement.

If you do not have an advertisement in the directory, you can still participate in the referral program.  All you need to do is refer a Marine, FMF Corpsman, family member, or member of a Marine Corps Veterans' Organization to the directory.  When they purchase an advertisement, you receive a discount coupon from one of the businesses advertising on this site.

HOW THE ADS WORK

 
First - Either scan or send me one of your business cards; or I can help you create a business card sized advertisement to be located in the box below.

Second - Tell me which page you want your advertisement located on – is it an internet business or website where you can do business with anyone in the country?  Or, do you want your ad on a state or city page since you do your business locally.

Third – Provide me with the web address (i.e. the URL) for the webpage that you want the readers to open when they click on your ad.  This way each ad will be a live link to your website.

To see how it works, right click on the ad below and select “Open in New Tab or New Window”.  This way you will not have to leave the Scarlet and Gold Business Directory.

Then provide me with a short description about your time in the Corps, how you are related to a Marine or FMF Corpsman, or tell me about the Marine Corps Veterans' Organization you belong to. I will insert this information below your business card ad.

In the third example above, I have been active in the Marine Corps League since 1998, and I am an Associate / Life member.

A NEW FEATURE FOR ALL VETERANS  

I have started a new Veterans Business Directory for veterans who were not Marines and for members of their families who own or operate a business.  This new Veterans Business Directory is located at:

You will find a link in the right panel on this website and a link in the left panel with the name “Other Veteran Businesses”  

If you Right Click on the link above and select "Open in New Tab” or “Open in New Window." you will not have to leave the Scarlet and Gold Business Directory website.

 My commitment to the advertisers in this directory, is that I will actively promote this directory so that consumers will know there is a source for quality businesses owned or operated by Marine Corps Veterans, FMF Corpsmen, their families and members of Marine Corps Veterans’ Organizations.
